Our award-winning Get Birding podcast helps everyone, anywhere, discover more about the birds on our doorsteps. This entertaining cross-generational series is aimed at beginners, families and diverse audiences to make birdwatching accessible to all, facing issues around diversity and democratisation of nature head on. We believe that access to nature should be a right, not a privilege.

Series 1 was hosted by Dr. Mya-Rose Craig, while series 2 was fronted by Hamza Yasmin who went on to win Strictly Come Dancing. Kwesia aka City Girl In Nature led series 3. Contributors to the podcast include Chris Packham, Samuel West, Alison Steadman, Jonathan Franzen, Jason Singh, Sam Lee, and Dr Amir Khan. Our partners including RSPB, National Trust and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust feature in items across the series, while listeners’ stories helps foster an engaged Get Birding Community.

Get Birding engages with some of the most challenging issues concerning equality and inclusion in the Nature sector – for which the podcast won the inaugural Climate Award at the British Podcast Awards. Get Birding has also been recognised at the Anthem Awards, the Lovies, and the International Women’s Podcast Awards.

Here’s what the British Podcast Award judges had to say: “A show that makes us think differently about the world around us, seeing even ordinary details through new eyes, and hearing what we had missed before. Accessible and inspiring, the show’s huge charm and enthusiasm encourage listeners to not just enjoy nature, but to feel included in it and responsible for it, whatever their age, ethnicity or class. It transported us.”

Engineering is for everyone and impacts all our lives. At this crucial moment for humanity, it couldn’t be more relevant to listen to engineers, thinkers, and designers as they debate how our future could – and should – look.

Hosted by Roma Agrawal MBE and 2022 Young Engineer of the Year George Imafidon, this podcast facilitates deep conversations about how we might restructure and rebuild the world we live in, from microscopic cells to sustainable cities to intergalactic travel.

Create The Future is a fortnightly podcast from the Queen Elizabeth Prize For Engineering and Peanut & Crumb.
